Vietship 2012, VAF Instruments B.V. participated from 28 February until 1 March 2012 in Vietship; the sole and biggest specialized international exhibition on Shipbuilding, Marine Technology & Transportation in Vietnam. As part of the booth of Kwong Soon Offshore & Marine (Vietnam) Co. Ltd., our agent for Vietnam, VAF Instruments B.V. did present all of her products, including the new torsion meter T-Sense. APM 2012, being part of the Holland Pavilion,
VAF Instruments B.V. was present at APM 2012; one of Asia’s leading maritime events.

The Marina Bay Sands exhibition venue was host of a much bigger APM than before. In the VAF booth all the VAF products were exposed, also including the new torsion meter T-Sense.

With assistance of our local agents, APM 2012 became a successful exhibition. Many interested visitors came by our VAF booth and next to this, many existing customers were present as well.

MARINTEC, for the past 30 years, Marintec China has played a role in bringing industry players together in one place to present their latest technologies to the world. More than 1,650 exhibitors from 31 countries joined this 15th edition with 45,000 visitors from 87 countries and regions.

Also this time VAF was present at this Asia’s largest “must-attend” event. The exhibition took place in Shanghai New International Expo Centre from the 29th of November to the 2nd of December. Our booth was represented by Mr. G. de Groot, Sales/Marketing Director and Mr. Chris Zhang, Business Development/Area Manager. On the stand, we have not only showed our traditional products e.g. Flow Meter, Viscosity Sensor, but as for the first time, demonstrated the World our latest achievements, i.e. revolutionary Shaft Torque/Power Meter, T-Sense. Our stand acted further as an interactive communication platform for all visitors from

Shipping Companies, Shipyards, University & Research, Design Office, even from our competitors with ideas exchanged & business opportunities created. Meanwhile we have inked strategy agreement and singed 9 Sales Contracts, with achieved goals far beyond our expectations although the industry has still undergone a difficult down time.

EUROPORT, almost traditionally, VAF Instruments was present on the ‘Europort 2011' exhibition in Rotterdam, from November 8 to 11. On our large 45 sqm high quality stand we showcased the company and all our product lines, for the first time completely in our new corporate style.

After a relative slow start on Tuesday, momentum picked up on Wednesday and we have been happy to welcome multiple customers, suppliers and other relations on the stand.

According to the Europort organization there were more than 1000 exhibitors, making a visit to the exhibition a time consuming expedition. Therefore we are very pleased to find that virtually all our Dutch customers and relations used their sparse time to visit our stand anyhow. It shows that VAF is considered a valuable business partner.

During the exhibition special attention was given towards environmental friendly products or operations. For this the organization had implemented a "Green Route". VAF Instruments was also included since multiple of our products help shipowners or managers to operate their fleets more environmental friendly. On the stand this was done by giving extra attention on fuel consumption measurement with MidFlow PT meters and shaft efficiency with the T-Sense optical torsion meter.

All in all it was a very satisfactory exhibition and we are looking forward to the next edition from November 5 to 8, 2013.

KORMARINE, the International Shipbuilding and Marine Equipment Show, was held from October 26 to October 29, 2011 at BEXCO (Busan Exhibition & Convention Center) in Busan, Korea.

VAF Instruments has participated in KORMARINE with a booth in the Dutch pavilion.

South Korea, a leading nation in shipbuilding, houses 7 out the 10 largest shipyards in the world. This important market is being covered by VAF Instruments with the great help of it's dedicated agent in Korea: Messrs KOVAF in Busan.

In the exhibition the new torsion meter from VAF instruments T Sense was received with high interest from shipowners and shipyards. Both the new optical measurement method and also the simple installation, even by the ship's crew, are very impressive.

Both torsion meters as well as the well known VAF fuel consumption flowmeters are a welcome contribution for shipowners to meet SEEMP demands.
