Runner Up Award at Ship Efficiency Event 2014August 7, 2014
At the Fathom Ship Efficiency Award 2014 the PEM3 efficiency monitoring system is recognized as an excellent and technological innovation for efficient operations.
The PEM3 efficiency monitoring system is a State of the Art and practical efficiency monitoring tool, which enables you to monitor fuel consumption of a maximum of 6 consumers like main engine(s), auxiliary engine(s), boiler(s) etc. In combination with VAF PT2 flow meters, a T-Sense torque sensor or TT-Sense Thrust & Torque sensor the PEM3 will clearly display all the information you need to decrease your fuel consumption and environmental footprint.
Earlier this year at the IMO MEPC 66/4 conference in London, VAF Instruments presented the PEM3 efficiency monitoring system as the most practical maritime CO2 monitoring tool. Since many ships are already equipped with flow meters and SEEMP regulation emphasize the need for fuel flow meters on board in order to increase efficiency, the VAF Instruments solution seems to be the most practical one. No or not many additional fuel flow meters will be needed for monitoring CO2 emissions and emission data can for example be secured on an USD stick.Back
