VAF Instruments is nominated for the Marine Propulsion & Auxiliary awards.

After careful review by the editors of Marine Propulsion and the advisory panel, the 2015 awards shortlist has now been decided. VAF Instruments is nominated for the “Fuel Efficiency Award” with the TT-Sense in combination with the PEM4 monitoring system. It is the first maritime solution for measuring propeller thrust, engine power and fuel consumption simultaneously. The PEM4 output will help you to optimize propeller efficiency, vessel trim, propeller pitch and will enable you to monitor hull resistance very accurately.

The TT-Sense is using the latest techniques to contribute to ship power management. The actual thrust measurement is obtained through an extremely accurate optical sensor technology. As a result of this non-contact sensor technology, the TT-Sense thrust and torque measuring system is maintenance free.

The Annual Marine Propulsion Conference really addresses the operational challenges facing ship operators today. Designed by industry for industry, the innovative event format makes it a must attend for anyone whose business involves marine propulsion.
